First Trip to London

We had our first roadtrip down to London a few weeks ago to play against the Medway Park Crusaders.  The game went really well as we started strong and gave ourselves a nice lead.  The crusaders fought back and closed the gap later in the game but we were too tough and held on for a big win.  They were supposed to be one of the top teams as most of the tems from the London area have the best talent.  I played alright, although did have the rare occurance of picking up three fouls in the first ten minutes of the game.

After the game, I stayed back and met up with the always entertaining Danny Gaynor, a buddy of mine from WashU.  Danny goes to the London School of Economics as he is preparing to one day be the next Anderson Cooper/Jon Stewart.  It was my first time ever being to London and Danny definitely showed me a good time.  I got to meet some of his friends as well as see many of the amin attractions.  The next day Danny and I met up with Grace Fox, another WashU friend and Kit Wellman Philosophy class comrad.  Overall it was a great trip, and I was delighted to find out that the train ride back to Shipley took just under two hours.  One of the most surprising things so far is how small of a country Britain actually is.  Its awesome to be able to get to most anywhere in no more than a 3 hour train ride.  Here are some pictures of the weekend.

"Hey do you think I can broad jump this barricade?"

I was hoping he'd fall on his face...
